Use this spreadsheet to convert lat/long degrees to XY coordinates.  The primary use of this spreadsheet was to allow the user to convert old paper copies of drilling & production units (Louisiana DNR Office of Conservation Units) into a usable format for display in their mapping software.  In my case, we converted the lat/long “call points” which were posted on the plat as a bearing and distance, and convert them over to the Louisiana State Plane XY Lambert coordinate system.  Once in XY format, the values can be copied into most software to display the polygon shapes.  The mapping software we use are IHS/SMT Kingdom and ArcGIS.
